Tube CAD Journal

Tube CAD:  Reports

Tube CAD prints two types of reports:  a snapshot of whatever circuit is currently on the screen, and a report listing all four circuit scenarios currently under observation.  Both are explained more fully below.

Circuit Report
A circuit report is a snapshot of whichever circuit and variation of that circuit is currently on the screen. It lists the tube type, tube characteristics, number, circuit part values, power supply voltage, and user options, such as bypassing the cathode resistor. Additionally, it lists all the AC & DC results and calculated part values, along with a schematic of the circuit under observation.

Circuit Scenarios
Report
The second type of report lists all four user-defined scenarios of the circuit under observation. For example, four textbook Cascode amplifier circuits, with different tube and plate load resistors, or all four variations of the Cascode with the same tube and plate resistor value, or any four combinations stored in the four scenarios for any given circuit type. Four small schematics and four columns of data are printed for quick comparison of the scenarios.
